Late Padmashri Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe
Patil pioneered the first sugar Co-operative factory of Asia. He
realized that Co-operative movement would bring about economic
upliftment of rural masses only if coupled with quality
education. So he established Pravara Rural Education Society in
1964. To realise Padmashri's this visionary dream of education for
rural masses his worthy Honourable Namdar Shri. Balasaheb Vikhe
Patil established a large number of technical and medical in
stitutions in Rural Maharashtra. The College of Physical
Education came into existence in 1992 with an objective to train
leaders in sports Physical Education.
